A warm hello to our Communities of Grace prayer partners, supporters, and volunteers,
We want to start by saying how grateful we are for your ongoing support of this ministry. Your donations, prayers, encouragement and willingness to go is making a real impact on the lives of people across the world – many of whom you may never get to meet in person. But we see firsthand the impact of your generosity on villages across east Africa.
Read below to see more about our work this month. And, as always, we thank you for your ongoing prayer and support for our ministry. Your generosity allows us to advance the gospel in Africa, as well as be the hands and feet of Christ to those in need.
Grace and blessings,

Church Planting
We are excited to share with our prayer partners and supporters that, God willing, Communities of Grace International will be partnering with the Community Baptist Church of Kenya in their efforts to establish a new church hub in the city of Eldoret, Kenya.
Eldoret is the 4th largest city in Kenya and is growing quickly. Our partnership with the new congregation and the local pastor will be a huge blessing in reaching this community for Christ. We have secured a $200,000 grace promise for this project and hope to have property purchased this year in hopes that the construction of a new church facility and school will soon follow. Additionally, prayerfully consider joining us in our efforts to reach this community. There will be several opportunities for city ministries and we will need volunteer teams to help.
We have several teams traveling to Kenya this summer and they will be actively sharing their faith by serving others. We will host a pastor’s training for our pastoral friends from four countries, provide local medical assistance in many villages, and visit a large number of public schools. Please keep this outreach ministry in your prayers as we continue to advance the gospel in Africa.
Evangelism & Discipleship
Our team is proud to partner with Community Baptist Church of Kenya as they continue to establish new discipleship programs in the communities they serve. In the village of Choimim and the town of Himaki, there are 45 students who are taking classes that will cover many books of the Bible. Additionally, they will study basic systematic theology and a program for evangelism. We are very thankful to Pastor James and Stephen for their hard work and commitment to discipling their community.
Our prison discipleship continues to go well, and we look forward to partnering with the church as they prepare for the graduation of their inmate students. With God’s blessing, many will have experienced the grace of God and seek to serve Him — in and out of prison.
Humanitarian Assistance
We had a unique opportunity to bless our prison discipleship pastor by providing him with a sewing machine. This gift will go to the prison for the training of the inmates, allowing them to learn a new life skill and create new uniforms. This kind of “love gift” is an exciting opportunity to show the love of Christ in a practical way, giving the inmates a tool to provide for themselves and their families when they get out of this facility.
We are so encouraged to see how God continues to work through Communities of Grace.
If you would join us in praying:
- That our partnership with the Community Baptist Church of Kenya will be fruitful as we work to establish a new church hub in Eldoret.
- For our partners on the ground as they diligently serve, love and care for their community.
- For the gospel to spread in Africa and around the world.
- That God will continue providing and equipping disciples who are willing to go to the ends of the earth to proclaim His name.
We humbly ask you to pray over how you can help advance God’s work through Communities of Grace whether by giving, praying or going. Contact damon@gocogi.com with more ways you can get involved!
